          KITTY CAT CHAT CONTINUES

Remember that I said we would listen in on the rest of Chino and Riley’s conversation? Well here it is.

Chino Has A Few Interesting Tibbits To Tell Riley That Day.

Chino, being the older and wiser of the two,waited patiently till Riley was done.
Then explained why some cities were going as far as making new by laws forbidding cats to be let loose in neighbourhoods.
Chino told Riley about how some people were upset that cats simply weren’t being very polite citisens and going into other people’s gardens and digging up flower beds and often leaving… well… let’s just call them little presents around. Not the nice kind of presents.

  What’s worse, these presents otherwise known as cat feces could cause very serious damage to a human fetus if the expecting mother happened to accidentally breath in feces dust while she was doing her gardening.
“Wow! I didn’t know that!” said Riley.
“And with so many people having so many of us cats as pets”, continued Chino, “that our population is devastating the song bird population.
I heard it said somewhere that in the Unite State alone, there’s something like 7 millions birds killed per year!”
“In England, The song birds are nearly extinct. They’ve become very concerned about how to stop this from happening.
You’re safer being a house cat. This way the coyote can’t get you. And knowing you,Riley, you strike me as one of those cats that would run across the street just as a car was coming. You’d cause the driver to panic while he or she was trying to miss you and maybe have a accident!
And besides, the proliferation of Black cats causes witches!” This Chino said with a sharp hisssss!
What! Riley said in astonishment!” I don’t believe you!”
“Of course they do!” said Chino with sharp indignation,”Every body knows that!”
” I simply don’t believe you!” said Riley. “I do believe all the rest of the things you said. After all, That information comes from scientific observations. But the part about the black cat…Well everybody knows that they’re just black because they belong to Chimney Sweepers, and they get black because they’re full of soot from the chimneys they hang around in!”
And so the afternoon wore on as Chino and Riley continued their “Cat Chat”.
Everything Chino said is true. Except the part about the witches of course.

So here’s a solution!
Take your kitty out with you when you go away so he or she won’t get bored.
Buy him or her a very Stylish Pet Carrier that they’d been proud to get into. And what’s more, you’ll both be safe!                    
             

Riley and Chino sat looking longingly out the patio screen door wishing with all their might they could be out there in that lush green grass.
Riley, the younger of the two, let out a big sigh and said, “I sure wish I could just get out there! I just want run around and catch me some birds to play with.” 

“I do understand my young friend.” said Chino. And he truly felt sorry for the younger cat.

It wasn’t that long ago, that he too wanted to do the same thing. Well, he still wanted to, it’s just that he had finally grown used the fact that as a cat, he had certain restrictions, and that was that.
“Look at it this way, Debbie, our human friend, lets us out quite often when she goes out in the back yard and that way she’s there to keep us safe and out of trouble.
If it weren’t for her, we’d be tempted by our natural instincts to do things like go hunting for birds and things”.
” But what’s wrong with that?”asked Riley with great indignation.”I think catching birds is a great pass time. I like to catch birds and bat at them with my paw a little while then, then let them go. Well… I don’t mean really let them go. Just let them think they’re getting away.
I just love messing with their heads!”
And with that, Riley rolled over with laughter! He got to laughing so hard that he started to choke and sputter until he finally coughed up a fur ball!
Well, that’s a bit of “Cat Humour” for you.
